IN light of Shahid Afridi visiting Bradford earlier this week, we thought it would be good to look back at other famous names to have stepped foot in our eateries.
An array of royal figures, showbiz stars and decorated sportsmen have enjoyed the city's most well-known restaurants.
Here's a list of ten you didn't know touched down in the district:
William and Kate - January 2020
The Cambridges were met with cheers as they visited MyLahore's flagship restaurant on Great Horton Road.
Mango and kulfi milkshakes were made by the couple before they picked from mixed grill, chicken and mixed veg options.
Later that day, on a visit to the Khidmat Centre, Prince William was asked for his opinion on Bradford. He joked: "Very good food!"
Princess Anne - June 2017
Another royal grabbed lunch in Bradford whilst opening the £1.9milion at Sunbridgewells underground development of bars and restaurants.
It was part of a triple duty visit which also included opening Bradford Royal Infirmary’s new £28m hospital wing and stopping off at Stanley Mills Weavers, Edward Street after it installed £1.2m worth of new weaving machinery.
Shahid Afridi - March 2022
'Boom Boom' Afridi popped into the Tea Factory, on Beckside Road, and Girlington's Regal Foods last Sunday.
At the former, he posed for pictures and enjoyed a cup of Desi tea alongside his wife Nadia.
The ex all-rounder, who played more than 500 matches across all formats for Pakistan, then went for a full tour and a slice of Regal's signature cake rusk.
He was in the city as part of a campaign for his charity the Shahid Afridi Foundation.
Floyd Mayweather - March 2017
The first world champion boxer to visit Tauseef Malik's Mr T's restaurant in Great Horton Road was American Mayweather.
Crowds waited for hours and a road was shut as 'Money' turned up at 3.30am following a speaking appearance in Liverpool.
Mr Malik provided the 50-0 fighter with a belated boxing-themed birthday cake to mark his 40th birthday.
Tyson Fury - February 2019
Fast-forward almost two years later and it was the Gypsy King's turn to taste what Mr T's had to offer.
Hundreds of people lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the British boxer who was fresh from his controversial first meeting with Deontay Wilder.
Fury enjoyed a Gypsy King Burger and a Gypsy King Milkshake during the visit, both named in his honour by the restaurant.
After chatting with staff and posing for photos, the current WBC world champion hosted An Evening with Tyson Fury event at the Six Acres Pub & Restaurant in Drighlington.
Deontay Wilder - August 2019
Keen to not be trumped by his great rival, the 'Bronze Bomber' opened the Batley branch of the restaurant six months later.
Wilder was greeted by tons of fans, along with the then Batley & Spen MP turned West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin, outside Mr T's in Station Road.
He took selfies, signed autographs and screamed his 'Bomb Squad' catchphrase.
The American heavyweight tweeted at the time: “Batley is lit right now... thanks to all my UK fans for the continuous love you give."
Wilder first stopped off for a facial at Prity, a salon in Leagrams Lane, to try a new men’s service.
Dame Helen Mirren - January 2020
The Oscar-winning actress tucked into one of Bradford's most favourable cuisines when filming The Duke.
Mirren paid a visit to the Mumtaz restaurant in Great Horton Road, mingling with staff and grabbing a curry.
On her Instagram, The Queen star said: “Nothing like an Indian/Pakistani dinner in Bradford. Doesn’t get any better. Thank you, Mumtaz.”
Kit Harrington and Liv Tyler - April 2017
The Game of Thorns actor Harrington and Hollywood A-lister Tyler dined at Saltaire's The Terrace Cafe Bar & Bistro whilst filming BBC drama Gunpowder.
The show was shot at locations around the district including Saltaire, Bradford College's Garden Mills building and Dalton Mills in Keighley.
Angela Rippon CBE - January 2022
The broadcaster of over 50 years was spotted in Cake 'Ole, a tearoom that overlooks City Park.
It is believed she had been recommended to try the eatery by the Science and Media Museum following a session of filming surrounding the BBC's 100 year anniversary.
Louise Redknapp - October 2021
The former Eternal star stopped by at La Caverna Pizzeria inside the Sunbridgewells site after a performance of her Dolly Parton-inspired 9 To 5 musical at the Alhambra Theatre.
