A MAN has been jailed for stealing electrical items and alcohol from a Bradford shop.
Alpha Barry, 29, of no fixed address, faced one charge of theft from a shop.
He was committed to prison for seven days for stealing electrical items and alcohol, worth a total of £32.49, from B&M Bargains, Kings Road, Bradford, on February 10, 2022, the court heard.
He was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge for the offence, which was contrary to the Theft Act 1968. A collection order was also made.
The offence was deemed so serious by the court because it was aggravated by Barry’s record of previous offending.
Barry pleaded guilty when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on March 9, 2022.
