A HUGE blaze that ripped through a derelict Bradford building is being treated as arson.
Emergency services were called to Southfield Lane, Great Horton, on Saturday night.
Seven fire engines from stations across Bradford and West Yorkshire, including Bradford, Fairweather Green, Shipley, Cleckheaton, Dewsbury, plus an aerial ladder from Huddersfield, were scrambled to the scene.
When fire crews arrived "the building was 100 per cent involved in fire", said Ahsan Ali, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service watch commander who took charge of the incident.
"It was a large building and flames were coming through the roof when we got there," he said.
"Every floor was on fire."
In a statement today, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The fire is believed to have been started sometime between 7.30pm and 8.10pm on Saturday, March 12.
"Significant damage was caused to the building, resulting in the roof collapsing.
"Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact police by calling 101 or using 101 Live Chat, quoting crime reference 13220134876."
