A VULNERABLE pensioner has been seriously injured in an assault.
West Yorkshire Police said the 68-year-old man was found with significant injuries to his face in Idle.
"From initial enquiries, it is believed he was assaulted in a snicket between Woodfield Close and Albion Road, between 2.50pm and 3pm yesterday," said a spokeperson.
Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said: “This has taken place in broad daylight. We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or saw anyone behaving suspiciously in the area.
“A vulnerable member of the local community has suffered awful injuries and it is vital that we establish what has taken place and identify anyone responsible.”
