A teenager is due to go on trial later this year charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Joseph William Porter, aged 19, is accused of having a glass hammer in Sherburn Road, Rastrick, Brighouse, on November 18, 2021.
Porter, of Victoria Drive, Northowram, Calderdale, indicated a plea of not guilty at an earlier hearing, according to court documents.
He has elected for a summary trial, the documents add.
Porter has been remanded on bail until May 25 at Kirklees Magistrates Court, located in Huddersfield town centre.
The case was most recently listed for February 23 at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court, but was adjourned until the date in May.
The offence of which he is accused is contrary to section 1(1) of the Prevention of Crime Act 1953, the court documents state.
