THREE further arrests have been made following an assault on two police officers in Bradford.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said this afternoon that three men from the city, aged 35, 25 and 29, were arrested overnight and remain in police custody on suspicion of two offences of assaulting an emergency worker.
The spokesman added: "The arrests were made following an affray incident on St Leonard’s Road, Girlington on Saturday in which two officers were assaulted, sustaining injuries that required hospital treatment."
The arrests come after Zahoor Hussain, 36, of St Leonard's Road, was charged with assaulting an emergency worker and a public order offence.
He will appear before Bradford Magistrates' Court on March 24.
Enquiries remain ongoing by Bradford CID.
