BRADFORD-based supermarket Morrisons has confirmed it is no longer stocking Russian vodka following the country's invasion of Ukraine.

The supermarket giant said it has delisted Russian Standard and taken action on its vodka lines to remove produce from the country.

It is among dozens of businesses which have frozen out Russia following its invasion of Ukraine as the world attempts to stifle the act of aggression through economic sanctions.

Oil giants have cut ties with Russia and many major companies have also ceased dealing with the country.

A spokesperson for Morrisons said: "We have taken action on our vodka lines including delisting Russian Standard.

"The product is longer available on our website and no further stock will be bought."

Vodka's still available in Morrisons online store include British brands Smirnoff, Glen's, Au Vodka and Black Cow, Swedish brands Absolut and Koppaberg, French premium brand Grey Goose, Polish vodka Zubrowka, and Morrisons own brand.
