TRAFFIC had to be stopped on a motorway this morning as an animal was running loose.
National Highways: Yorkshire posted about vehicles being held on the M62 today, at 3.06am.
This was on both carriageways, between junction 27 (Gildersome) and junction 28 (Tingley).
The section of motorway was shut due to an animal running loose on the network.
Traffic Officers went to the area to resolve the situation.
Vehicles between the junctions were released shortly after, at 3.12am.
A spokesperson for National Highways: Yorkshire said: "Traffic has now been released on the M62 in both directions between J27 and J28.
"Thank you for your patience, please have a safe onward journey."
