THE Bradford Youth Service team, along with 100 excited young people, set off from the city this weekend for a trip to Coventry, the current City of Culture which was designated with the honour for 2021 to 2025.

A spokesman said it was an exciting weekend ahead for the young people who would experience a range of cultural activities and meet young people from Coventry to share their ideas.

Bradford has made it through to the next stage of the City of Culture 2025 competition after securing one of eight places on the longlist. The list will be whittled down by half this month. Then the final four will have a visit from the judges before learning the winning city in May.
