YOU'VE seen them on YouTube and all over social media, so now is your chance to take part in a flash mob dance taking place in The Broadway, Bradford as part of International Women's Day.
Yorkshire Dance’s Dance On programme for over 55s is presenting the special performance on Tuesday, March 8, when shoppers and attendees will be invited to dance with the Dance On group or go along as a spectator and enjoy either of the two performances.
International Women’s Day is a global holiday to celebrate the cultural, political and socioeconomic achievements of women and this year celebrates the theme Break the Bias. Dance On is delighted to be celebrating International Women’s Day in person again for the first time in two years.
At the Bradford event, Dance On participants across Bradford and Leeds have been rehearsing a short routine in their weekly classes however the general public are encouraged to come along and join in with the festivities. Participants don’t need to have any dance or performance experience to get involved and show off their moves and can learn the routine from a video beforehand.
The dance will take place in the performing space next to Costa Coffee. Please arrive at the shopping centre between 12pm and 12.15pm if you would like to perform.
Performances are at 12.30pm and 1pm.
Participants are encouraged to wear purple if they can.
