A blind 13-year-old boy who penned a volume of poems is to take part in his first book signing.
Liam Midwood's anthology, called My Life in Rhymes - Touched By Blindness, has been endorsed by a former Children's Laureate and was published before Christmas.
In the foreword to the book of verse, Jacqueline Wilson, the Tracy Beaker author, said: "He is blind but he makes his readers see."
Liam, who lives in Shipley and attends school in Worces-ter, will be at Borders bookshop in Birstall on Tuesday, February 12.
The book costs £4.99 and is available in Braille. It can be purchased at Shipley Stat-ionery Centre, Saltaire Book-shop, Waterstones and Borders in Birstall.
