A 50-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested for drink-driving before 10am and two men on suspicion of driving while on drugs.
West Yorkshire Police's Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) posted on its Facebook page tonight about three drivers it has dealt with over the past week or so.
The most recent one was a 50-year-old woman on Friday (February 25).
Officers stopped her on Leeds Road, in the Shipley area of Bradford, just before 10am.
They conducted a breath test on the woman and she blew a reading of 82 micrograms of alcohol.
This is just over double the legal limit of 35 micrograms of alcohol for every 100 millilitres of breath.
Police arrested the woman and she was charged with drink-driving.
The two other individuals were both men arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.
The first was last Friday (February 18).
A 35-year-old man was stopped on Otley Road, in the Baildon area.
The second was a week ago, on Sunday (February 20).
A 20-year-old man was stopped on Wrose Road, in the Wrose area.
Both males were released pending blood results.
The Shipley NPT made it clear that it will continue to deal with road traffic issues with the help of other partners, including the Steerside Enforcement Team.
This is the force's dedicated initiative for tackling dangerous and anti-social driving.
The Shipley NPT said: "We will continue to tackle road traffic matters with support from colleagues in Steerside, traffic and response."
