Bradford District Care Trust is using the healing power of music in a bid to become a Foundation Trust.

The Mussanzi Family Choir will showcase their gospel inspired tunes at the Great Victoria Hall, Bradford, on Monday as the Trust launches its campaign for Foundation Trust Status.

The show forms part of a multimedia extravaganza to present the talents of service users and display the achievements of the Trust, which provides mental health and learning disability care across the district.

It runs from noon to 6pm and features interactive stalls, live music, relaxation classes, poetry, an art exhibition and food from around the world.

Choir member Ben Mussanzi said: "Music can bring people together and make a big difference to people's well-being. We're happy to lend our voices in support of Bradford District Care Trust."

Trust staff will provide workshops to give people the chance to influence how the Trust will deliver mental health and learning disability care in the future.

Trust chairman Barry Seal said: "This event is about us getting out into the community to find out what people want from our services. It is their chance to tell us what they think would be most beneficial. We need the whole community to work with us to develop the most appropriate services for everyone."

Those interested can drop in to the event at anytime and everyone is welcome. The Mussanzi Family Choir takes to the stage at 5pm. Admission is free.
