SEVEN further Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported over the last four days in Bradford hospitals.

According to the latest NHS figures, five further deaths were reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust between February 22 and 25. Two further deaths were recorded from February 19 and one further death was recorded from each of the following dates: February 17, 20 and 21.

Meanwhile, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust recorded two deaths during the same period, with one recorded from each of the following dates; February 21 and 22.

The total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district now stands at 1,309 - 835 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals; 328 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, a further 507 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 have died over the same four-day period. Their families have been informed.

The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.

"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
