A MAN has appeared in court charged with stealing from a shop in Bradford where he worked.
Alexander Gillies, 54, of Newill Close, Bradford, has appeared in court on one charge of theft by employee.
Between August 17 and 18, 2021, he stole money, to the value of £245 belonging to Boots in Forster Square Retail Park, Valley Road, Bradford, contrary to the Theft Act 1968.
Gillies was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £245 compensation, £85 court costs and a £22 victim surcharge for the offence. The total sum to be recovered is £352.
He pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court on February 10, 2022.
A collection order was also made during the hearing. Court will also apply for deductions from benefit.
