A WOMAN has been jailed for months after assaulting two midwives in Bradford.
Lily Briggs, of Tong Street in BD4, committed the offences on January 29 at Sir Henry Mitchell House, on Manchester Road.
The 20-year-old was sentenced to four months in prison on February 14 at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court.
The court said the offences were so serious because they were deliberate attacks on a public servant carrying out public duties.
Each offence also included a £100 compensation fee. Briggs has to pay the £200 total by March 14.
On the same day, she was also found guilty of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Briggs was carrying a Stanley knife on Morley Street in Bradford city centre on January 29.
