A CHARITY event organised by a Bradford business has bounced back after the pandemic to raise more than £6,000 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
Lill Brothers Fish Merchants, based in St James's Market, puts on an annual fundraising night, with the help of a huge team of volunteers and entertainers.
But the pandemic put paid to the last two years of events.
It has come back with a bang in 2022 though, with £6,585 raised in total for the hospice.
Sue Ryder Manorlands provides expert palliative care, advice and support for people across Bradford and Craven who are living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families, and donations are crucial to its running.
This year's fundraiser was held at Fields Sports and Social Club in Clayton, on Saturday, February 12.
Event organiser, Shakil Rashid, was happy to be hosting the event once again but with no fundraising target in mind was over-the-moon when learning the amount the fundraiser had raised.
He said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the local groups, businesses and guests that once again stepped up and showed their support for this wonderful community event. I’m overjoyed at the amount of money we have been able to raise”.
