A MAN has been jailed for 11 months after racially abusing a man at a Bradford hospital, then assaulting an emergency worker the following day.
Stanley Johnson, 31, of no fixed address, was jailed by Leeds magistrates for 48 weeks after committing the two offences in February, along with a damaging a custody cell.
He pleaded guilty to using racially aggravated threats or abuse on February 17, as well as assaulting an emergency worker and criminal damage on February 18.
The court documents stated that Johnson's sentence was increased due to the racial element of the attack on an emergency worker at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Magistrates learned that Johnson assaulted a custody nurse and caused damage to the custody cell at Trafalgar House police station, at Nelson Street in Bradford.
