THREE people have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after an incident at a farm in Bradford.

There is a large police presence at Valley Farm on Low Lane, Clayton, with a police helicopter, "multiple" crime scene investigation vans and police cars all in attendance.

A police cordon is also in place at the scene.

Evidence markers can be seen as officers appear to be searching a gravelled area.

The police presence has been in place since at least 10.45am this morning.

At 1pm today, West Yorkshire Police responded with a statement on the incident, revealing that the police presence is linked to a report of an aggravated burglary which took place in the area on Monday night.

Police also found that a firearm had been discharged towards a vehicle, although no one was hurt.

Three arrests have been made.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are in attendance at Valley Farm, Low Lane, Clayton after reports of an aggravated burglary on Monday evening.

"Officers were called to Valley Farm at 22.52pm on Monday to a report that damage was being caused to the property.

"After a search of the area it was found that a firearm had been discharged towards a vehicle.

"No one was injured.

"Three people have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and remain in police custody at this time.

"A scene is in place whilst enquiries continue.
