TODAY is 22/02/2022, and has been dubbed as ‘Twosday’ – with the date forming a unique numerical sequence which will not be seen again for 200 years.
The date is a palindrome – a sequence of numbers, words or phrases which reads the same backwards as it does forwards – while it is also an ambigram, meaning it reads the same when it is flipped upside down.
But today is even more significant for one Bradford family.
Zoey and Mark Parker are spending time with their daughter Brianna, who is turning two on 22/02/2022.
The family, who are originally from Holme Wood and Tyersal but now live in Dewsbury, said: “We celebrated over the weekend with two parties, and today, on her birthday, Brianna is opening the rest of her presents.
“We’re going to have a nice, chilled out day."
Zoey added: “When she was born, I had been in labour for three days, so we didn’t know when she was going to come.
“She was born on 22 February in the evening. At the time, we didn’t realise that her second birthday would be on 22/02/2022 – but it’s pretty cool that it is!
“Brianna has been very excited with all the celebrations.”
