POWER cuts have left more than 700 homes and buildings without electricity in the Bradford district this morning.
Northern Powergrid revealed that 720 premises in the BD6, BD22, BD20, BD21, BD23, BD24 and BD4 areas have been hit by various unexpected outages today.
The power cut in the BD6 area has affected 120 properties and was first reported at 2.23am.
Properties off Farfield Avenue, Braine Croft, Clydesdale Drive and Shire Close are reported to have been impacted.
Power is expected to be restored by 1pm this afternoon.
The power cut in the BD22 area has affected 50 properties and was first reported at 7.43am.
Properties off Westville, Station Road (B6141), West Drive, Cross Lane, and Moorhouse Close are reported to have been impacted.
Power is expected to be restored by 11am.
There have been two power cuts in the BD20 area, which have affected 220 properties in total.
The first one was reported at 1.39am, while the other was at 7.51am.
Properties off Townfield, Bradford Road, Altar Drive, Carr Lane, Daleside Road, Newlyn Road, Hospital Road, Southlands Grove, Carr Grove, Southlands Grove West, Southlands Mount, Southlands Drive, Southlands Road, Southlands Avenue, Main Road, Heath Grove, Morton Grove and Otley Mount are reported to have been impacted.
Power is expected to be restored by 12pm for the first outage and 11am for the second.
The power cut in the BD21, BD23, BD24 and BD4 areas has affected 330 properties and was first reported at 5.58pm.
Properties off Keighley Road (A6131) in Skipton, Pennine Way in Thornton-in-Craven, Moorber Lane in Coniston Cold, Main Road in Appletreewick, Tarns Lane (B6265) in Linton, Moor Lane in Threshfield, Grysedale Lane, Skirethorns Lane, The Drive, Cragg View, Kirk Bank (B6160) all in Skirethorns, Henside Road in Malham Moor, Mastiles Lane in Kilnsey and then buildings in Hawkswick, Kettlewell, Arncliffe, Starbotton, Litton, Nether Heselden, Halton Gill and Fox Up are reported to have been impacted.
Power is expected to be restored by 12pm.
All the power cuts have been caused by unexpected problems with the electricity cables, or equipment, that serve the area.
The Northern Powergrid website states: "Our team are working hard to restore your power as quickly as possible."
