A WOMAN flying from home from Poland was left "petrified" after the plane she was in battled raging winds to land at Leeds-Bradford Airport (LBA).
The Ryanair service from Krakow, Poland to LBA, in Yeadon was one of few services that actually landed at the airport.
Many departures and arrivals were either cancelled or diverted, thanks to high speed winds brought about by Storm Eunice.
One woman onboard the Ryanair flight, who did not wish to be named, was shocked herself when the plane began to descend, despite rocking about all over.
She said: "I was on the wing seat.
"I thought we would have been diverted to Edinburgh as that’s what the flight attendants were saying and he was only going to attempt to land once, but he did a fast and quick descent.
"It wasn’t the best flight landing I have done."
The woman filmed the ordeal from her seat, switching the camera between looking outside the plane, along the wing, to inside the body of the aircraft.
Noises of shock and panic can be heard at certain points, as the plane gets closer and closer to the ground.
The left wing almost looks as if it is buckling under the pressure of the wind at one point and shots from inside the plane show seats and people rattling all over.
The same plane was snapped coming towards the runway diagonally, in an attempt to battle the raging winds.
Eventually the plane touches down safely though, with one person letting their relief out with a brief applause.
The woman filming the landing from the inside said: "Honestly I was petrified.
"I thought he would have pulled back up as rocking that bad.
"I even came off my seat."
The flight touched down officially at 3.11pm, just slightly later than its 2.55pm scheduled time.
