PLANS have gone in for five new homes to be built on a scrubland site in Pudsey currently occupied by workshops and outbuildings.
The application would see a new street formed running parallel to Back Bank Terrace and accessed via Haydn's Terrace in the Stanningley area of the town, near the Lidl supermarket.
It would form an extension of Vickersdale Grove, and be made up of four semi-detached homes and one detached property, each with driveways for two vehicles and garden spaces of varying sizes.
Designed as three-storey townhouses, they would all feature a living area, kitchen and toilet on the ground floor, one double bedroom and one single bedroom - plus a bathroom - on the first floor, and a further double-bedroom with en-suite on the top floor in the attic space.
Currently on the site are garages and outbuildings, which would be demolished and cleared to make way for the five new homes.
The area is currently a mix of traditional, stone-built terraced homes and a more modern, red-brick estate to the south.
