Pavarotti is alive and well and living somewhere in Keighley. But nobody knows exactly where he is.
Keighley Festival organisers say the eight-foot-tall, chicken wire and papier mache of the great Italian tenor made by pupils of Braithwaite School has vanished.
The heavy-weight figure - the real-life Luciano Pavarotti died last year - was last seen on the back of a low loader, last summer.
Now, if he can be found, he is wanted as the figurehead for this summer's contribution by schools to the festival.
Youngsters are being challenged to make lifesize figures of famous people and festival organiser Malcolm Hanson wants Pavarotti to front the show.
Anyone who can help locate Pavarotti should telephone Mr Hanson on (01756) 709275.
