Mark Bower column

Everything at home has been a bit hectic since our new arrival Freya.

It's a bit unfortunate that I'm not training or playing games at the moment because it doesn't give me an excuse to sleep in the spare room!

But everyone is good and we are really happy - and we've all been getting enough sleep as she's not kept us up all night yet.

At least with going up and down the stairs all the time to help out it's given me a chance to build up the muscle around my knee. I've never been that domesticated so I'm just doing what I'm told!

The leg itself is feeling quite good but I'm having to hold back a bit. I saw Mr Bollen, the specialist, at the weekend and he doesn't want me doing too much too soon while everything settles down.

It's frustrating but I want to make sure I'm in the best possible condition when I'm allowed to start running again and training properly. Everything is going to plan and hopefully it won't be too long before I can be back in contention and ready to start playing again.

The Bury result on Tuesday was a little disappointing after we'd been in the lead twice but if we can go to Wrexham and win there then four points from two away games will be a good effort.

We've had a decent points return from the last few games and it was a shame that Rochdale got called off. When you've strung a few results together like that, you're desperate to keep the momentum going by playing as often as possible.

From what I've seen, MK Dons are the best team in this league so Wrexham pulled off a great win last week. It came as a shock but just shows that anyone can beat anybody in this league.

It also proves that Wrexham's position at the bottom may be a little bit false and I'm sure they will pick up with the new players that have come in.

It's probably not a great time to be playing them - but then Wrexham might be looking at our results and saying the same about us. There's certainly no reason why we can't keep the run going.
