POLICE have thanked a farmer who helped them recover a vehicle being driven anti-socially off-road in the district.
The silver 4x4 was found abandoned on land near Oxenhope after it had been used for anti-social off-roading.
Officers from the Steerside Enforcement Team have seized the vehicle – after a helping hand from a farmer – and said if the owners want their car back they face being spoken to over a number of criminal charges.
In a tweet, the Steerside team said: “We are thankful to the local farmer who helped with the recovery of this vehicle.
“If the owner wants their vehicle back then they will have to speak with us regarding a multitude of offences.”
