A KEIGHLEY man has been jailed after admitting to three offences of theft, targeting a supermarket in Keighley to steal.
Lewis Heckles, 24, of Bingley Road, Cross Roads, admitted three offences of theft when appearing at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on Feburary 1.
He stole twice from the Sainsbury's supermarket in Keighley, first on November 23 last year when he pinched £150 worth of Nicorette products.
A week later, on November 30, he was back, this time stealing bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey to the value of £60.
He was then back again on December 8 when he took £26.25 worth of chocolate from the supermarket.
For the offences, he was handed a prison sentence of 12 weeks, with magistrates saying the offence was so serious it required immediate imprisonment due to the pattern of similar offending.
He was also told to pay £210 in compensation, which must be paid by February 15.
