A Bradford man has been dealt a hefty fine after dodging a rail fare and telling an officer to f*** o**.
Mohamed Ahmadzai of Maidenstone Street, Laisterdyke, Bradford failed to produce a ticket to at Leeds Train station.
Ahmadzai was travelling between Huddersfield and Bradford Interchange on June 22, 2021 and was asked to produce a ticket at Leeds.
He claimed that he had deleted it from his app; after the officer checked his ticket history, only two tickets dated in December were found.
Ahmadzai became aggressive and told the officer to f*** o**.
Following the incident, a letter was sent to the defendant asking him to explain the situation and after further email correspondence, Ahmadzai was fined.
He was asked to pay: £440 for the fine, £5 for the fare, £44 to fund victim services and to pay costs of £150.
In total Ahmadzai was fined £639 and was due to pay this by February 7, 2022.
