A MAN has been disqualified from driving after riding a motorbike on a Bradford Road whilst under the influence of alcohol.
Daniel Sykes, 25, drove a yellow Honda bike on Huddersfield Road after exceeding the prescribed limit.
The offence, which carries penalty points, took place on December 12 last year.
Sykes, who lives on Back Lane in Bingley, had 43 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of his breath. The legal drink drive limit is 35mg.
The 25-year-old will undergo a 12 month driving ban.
However, this will be reduced by 13 weeks if he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State August 25. The cost of the course will not exceed £250.
He pleaded guilty when attending Bradford And Keighley Magistrates Court on January 25.
A total of £492 (£370 fine, £85 court costs and a £37 victim surcharge) has to be paid by February 22.
