YORK City have spoken out after a young fan was "harmed" in an incident at Bradford (Park Avenue).
It emerged on social media last night that there had been an altercation at Horsfall Stadium following yesterday's 4-2 loss for home side, Avenue, against rivals York City.
It was said to involve group of young people, believed to be from the Bradford area, and a teenage York City fan.
Avenue released a statement earlier today explaining the club was cooperating with police regarding an "isolated incident" that they say "happened outside of the ground shortly after full time last night."
York City confirmed moments ago in their own statement that West Yorkshire Police is investigating the incident, where one of the club's young supporters was hurt.
The full statement said: "We are disappointed to learn of an incident after last night’s game which resulted in harm to a young York City fan.
"We urge any supporters who saw the incident to contact the club or the West Yorkshire police directly who are investigating the matter.”
The T&A has contacted West Yorkshire Police for more details.
