A DATE has been set for a Court of Appeal hearing to reconsider the jail term of a Bradford man who fled the scene of a car crash that killed his passenger.
Christopher Windle, 21, was sentenced to four years and nine months for causing death by dangerous driving in September at Bradford Crown Court.
Subsequently his sentence was challenged under a scheme that allows "unduly lenient" jail terms to be reviewed by the Attorney General's office.

In December it emerged that the matter had been referred to the Court of Appeal, as the AGO believed it was too low.
A hearing will now take place on February 23 in London, which will determine whether Windle's sentence should be increased.
Windle, formerly of Kesteven Road, Holme Wood, fled the scene of a crash on Wakefield Road in September 2019, after colliding with two vehicles and killing his passenger, Stephen Tordoff, who was a backseat passenger in the car.
He pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured and causing death whilst disqualified from driving.
Three other passengers who were in the car also suffered injuries.
Windle was also banned from driving for seven years.
