POLICE have revealed a Bradford road will remain closed for "a while" until a bridge above it is secured after a lorry crash today.
The lorry had its roof ripped off after hitting a railway line bridge on Mill Lane, in the Broomfields area, between the road's junctions with Gordon Street and Fitzwilliam Street.
West Yorkshire Police was called to the scene at 12.38pm.
The vehicle, which is from Bulgaria, lost the roof of its trailer while trying to go under the bridge.
It looked to be carrying bags containing a non-hazardous white substance, which had spilled into the road.
A spokesperson for police said this afternoon that Mill Lane would remain closed for a while until the bridge was secured and the road was cleared of the spilled liquid.
