A passenger in a Lamborghini is being treated in hospital for serious injuries after being the victim of a drive-by-shooting.
Police said a 20-year-old man was 'seriously injured' in the incident in Sheffield, South Yorks., at around 2am today (Monday).
The victim was travelling along the road in a black Lamborghini when shots were fired towards the vehicle, police said.
He then fled the scene where he got into a white Rolls-Royce and made off with two occupants already inside before they called the emergency services.
The victim was taken to hospital in an ambulance and has suffered "serious injuries", a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said.
The white Rolls-Royce also had gunshot damage, but the other two occupants were unharmed, the force said. The Lamborghini was later recovered with gunshot damage.
A cordon is in place as crime scene investigators comb the area for clues.
Detective Superintendent Paul Murphy said: "I know how distressing and worrying this incident will be for the local community and that of the wider Sheffield community.
"Please know that our investigation continues at pace and we have a dedicated team of officers working tirelessly to establish the exact circumstances of what took place this morning that led to a man being seriously injured.
"Our officers remain in the area to carry out their work, and additional patrols are in place."
