WHO doesn't love a good McDonald's?
For almost half a century, it has arguably led the way when it comes to the country's most popular fast-food offering.
Bradfordians are keener than most for a 'Maccies' with a total of seven restaurants throughout the city.
When such a giant releases new items, everyone goes into a frenzy. I thought it was only right to give them a go myself.
Chicken Big Mac
With the Big Mac being such a staple of the McDonald's menu, I was eager to find out how this chicken version of the burger would taste.
I've got to admit I was slightly disappointed.
I'm partial to a Big Mac every now and again, who isn't, and I was optimistic that this new edition would be just as good, if not better, than the original.
The Chicken Legend is probably my number one go-to, therefore, before seeing images, I was hoping for a similar crispy chicken breast fillet.
This, of course, wasn't the case, with a standard chicken burger the chosen patty.
@bradford_tanda With @mcdonaldsuk releasing their #ChickenBigMac, we wanted to see how it compares to the fairly new #McPlant. Do you agree with our ratings? #fyp ♬ original sound - Bradford T&A
Nevertheless, all the essential flavourings (lettuce, cheese, and Big Mac sauce) were in front of me, so I thought the flavour would remain on point.
Instead, I was served a rather bland burger that was no match for its much tastier older brother.
In the clip above, I scored it a 6/10 and upon reflection that was being generous.
If you want my two pence worth, stick with the beef version or grab a Chicken Legend to get your poultry fix.
McPlant
Whilst attending the Rooley Lane establishment, it would have been rude for me not to try a fairly fresh permanent fixture to the menu.
Last month, McDonald's announced this vegan burger would forever remain an item for customers to enjoy.
Upon attempting this challenge, as a meat-lover, I was sceptical over whether it could pander to my carnivore instincts.
How wrong I was! The difference between the McPlant and a standard quarter pounder is miniscule.
In fact, if I didn't know its Beyond Meat® contents, I would have presumed it was the latter.
My only critic is its price. I don't know about you but for £3.39 I was expecting a slightly bigger bun.
But that's neither here nor there. Overall, I handed out a solid 8/10, so vegan or not make sure you check out this burger.
