A Yorkshire cancer charity is calling out for runners to raise funds at the world's biggest half marathon.
Yorkshire Cancer Research will be opening its ballot at the end of February for potential participants in the BUPA Great North Run.
The run, which attracts more than 50,000 runners, consists of 13.1 miles from Newcastle to South Shields.
A spokesman for the charity said: "Yorkshire Cancer Research funds world renowned research into the cause and cure of a variety of cancers across Yorkshire."
