A MAN with an axe was arrested in Bradford yesterday.
A Special Constable - volunteer police officers who have full Constabulary powers - and Section Officer helped an officer from the Operation Jemlock team make the arrest.
Operation Jemlock is West Yorkshire Police's dedicated initiative for tackling serious violent and knife crime.
The SC and SO were conducting patrols in the Bradford West and Bradford City areas when they helped the Jemlock officer.
A man was spotted in possession of an axe and so police arrested him.
He has been charged to court.
The SC and SO also dealt with other issues throughout the day including, issuing two tickets for traffic offences and a burglary.
