A BRADFORD man has appeared in court charged with breaking into sheds at two separate properties and also stealing a trolley coin.
Jason Walker, 46, of Halifax Road, was given a community order after facing three charges.
In the first charge, burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal, he entered as a trespasser, a garden shed, in Albion Street, Bradford, on July 22, 2021, with intent to steal.
His plea changed to guilty after he previously pleaded not guilty.
In the second charge, theft from a motor vehicle, Walker pleaded guilty to stealing a trolley coin and 20p, ton the total value of £1.20, in Bradford, on July 22, 2021.
In the third count, burglary other than dwelling - theft, Walker having entered a building, namely a shed at an address in Stanage Lane, Shelf, Halifax, stole power tools worth £499.
He changed his plea to guilty after previously pleading not guilty. He was also ordered to pay £300 compensation.
Under the terms of his community order, Walker must also carry out a drug rehabilitation requirement and have treatment for drug dependency for six months.
Walker was sentenced when he appeared at Kirklees Magistrates' Court on January 4, 2022.
