A POLICE presence on a residential street in the Bradford district is in relation to an "ongoing incident", a ward councillor has told the Telegraph & Argus.
Officers have been stationed on West Royd Crescent, Shipley, over the weekend.
While West Yorkshire Police was unable to provide any details when asked by the T&A this morning, councillor Vanda Greenwood (Lab, Windhill and Wrose) said a man is in custody helping police with enquiries into an ongoing incident.
She said there has been police activity on the road since Friday night.
Cllr Greenwood and her fellow ward councillor Susan Hinchcliffe went to the street today to speak with the police and reassure residents.
