A ROAD which was forced to close today due to flooding has now re-opened.

Bradford Road, Menston, was shut in both directions between Halstead Drive and Endor Crescent. 

Traffic has now returned to normal.

There are a number of flood alerts in place for the region following a night of heavy rain.

Upper River Aire catchment

Flood alert area: River Aire from Gargrave to Stockbridge, including Eshton Beck, Eller Beck and Silsden Beck

Lower River Wharfe

The Lower River Wharfe and tributaries from Ilkley to upstream of Ulleskelf

Lower River Calder catchment

Flood alert area: River Calder from Brighouse to Castleford including Chickenley Beck, Spring Mill Beck and Waindike
