A WEST Yorkshire football fan has been banned from matches after throwing a water bottle towards the pitch whilst watching a game at Leeds United's Elland Road.
Last month, Adam Mark Battensby, 31, was given a four-year banning order from entering any football grounds.
The incident occurred on the same day, October 2, of Leeds' 1-0 win over Watford in the Premier League.
On January 13, the Pontefract man, of Monckton Road, pleaded guilty to throwing a missile onto a football playing area at Leeds Magistrates' Court.
He was also cleared of assaulting a male at the stadium on the same day.
Battensby has to pay the £653 total (a £498 fine, £50 victim surcharge, and £105 in court costs) by February 10.
