Mason Greenwood will not train or play for Manchester United until further notice, the Premier League club have announced.
United issued a statement after police confirmed they were making enquiries after the Bradford-born England forward was accused of being violent towards a woman.
Greater Manchester Police said it was “aware of images and videos circulating on social media” and was looking to “establish the full circumstances”.
A spokesperson from the Force said: "Greater Manchester Police is aware of images and videos circulating on social media.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
The Telegraph & Argus have approached Manchester United for a comment.
Greenwood, 20, was born in Wibsey and joined United aged seven, playing at the club's development school in Halifax.
The West Yorkshireman made his competitive first-team debut for the club in March 2019 against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League.
Aged 17 years and 156 days, he became the second youngest player to represent the club in a European competition.
Last February, Greenwood signed a new and improved deal keeping him at the Red Devils until at least 2025.
