MEMBERS of Bradford's Hindu Community came together this week to mark India's Republic Day.
The day was marked on Wednesday at the Shree Hindu Temple in Little Horton.
The event was organised by the Bradford Hindu Council, with support from the Race Equality Network.
January 26 marks the date when India's constitution came into effect, making it a sovereign republic.
This year was the 73rd anniversary.
There will also be events held at the Thornton Lane temple on Sunday from 2pm until 4pm which will include prayers, a get together, games, bingo and exercise, as well as refreshments.
The Bradford Hindu Council hosts a number of events on a regular basis to bring the community together.
Last week, a badminton tournament was held, encouraging health and wellbeing among the older and younger generation.
