POLICING searching for the missing former Bradford Bulls prop Bryn Hargreaves have issued a renewed appeal after having no success in finding him in the past 10 days.
Hargreaves, who played for the Bulls in 2011 and 2012 before retiring from the sport aged 26, was reported missing in the USA on January 16.
On social media, family and friends have appeal for help to find him, and said he has recently had struggles with his mental health.
After leaving the sport, Hargreaves, now 36, relocated to America, and police in Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office have asked again for help in tracing him.
Bryn’s last contact with friends and family was believed to be on January 3, and currently resides in Whisper Creek Apartments in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown, West Virginia.
Sheriff’s deputies have searched the surrounding area several times, including with the assistance of police dogs, but have had no success in locating Bryn, a former World Club Championship and Challenge Cup winner with St Helens.
No one police have spoken to has been able to give a date or location where Bryn was last seen or what he was wearing, so police are unable to provide a last known location or direction of travel to assist in the search.
His flat has been examined by detectives for any information relating to his disappearance and are currently going through relevant digital evidence and financial records in the hopes this may give some clues as to where he is.
People living in the area are being asked to look out for him; Bryn is described as a white male with brown hair, 6ft2ins, 220lbs and with a tattoo of a family crest on his right arm.
Anyone with information contact the Sheriff’s Department at 304-291-7260, or leave private messages on the Sheriff’s Department Facebook page.
