A PLANNING application has been submitted to open an £80,000 dentist's surgery in a former nursery.
The proposals would see the site in Oxford Road, Gomersal, which was formerly home to Gummy Bears nursery, turned into a new private dental surgery.
The applicant, Moussa Sadek, has applied for a Lawful Development Certificate to allow him to buy the property and begin works to transform the building - which has stood empty since 2019 - into Gomersal Dental Lounge.
If approved, once the property is purchased, the ground floor would be converted to create two treatment rooms, which offer general dental and specialist restorative dental services.
There would be full renovation to create two fully equipped treatment rooms, decontamination room, reception, and various other specialist equipment bought, expected to cost around £80,000 to complete.
If approved, it would be open from 9am to 5pm weekdays, and 9am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
