THERE'S a lot of snobbery surrounding tinned food.
Raymond Blanc has come under fire for praising 'delicious' tinned and frozen food.
I don't know why people would react to this - I use a lot of fresh food, but also use lots of tinned and frozen in meals. Peas, beans, mushrooms - fresh, frozen, tinned, they all taste fine.
Let's be honest here - who doesn't use tinned tomatoes? Very few people are going to make spag bol using fresh ones.
Contrary to what people believe, canning preserves most of a food's nutrients.
Frozen peas are lovely and I don't know what I'd do without my frozen Yorkshire puds on a Sunday - they will never be anywhere near as good as my mum's, but they definitely save a lot of faffing about.
