THE layout of the green areas around the planned One City Park development have been approved.
The £35m, Grade-A office space development next to City Park was approved last year.
It will be built on the former Tyrls Police Station site, which is currently occupied by a temporary park.
The development would see a new landscaped area around the building.
Late last year Muse Developments, who are progressing the scheme on behalf of Bradford Council, submitted plans for the layout of this landscaped area.
Plan to build 'Grade A' office block next to City Park is approved
It included stepped seating linking the office building to the mirror pool, seating areas, tree planting and a lawned park space next to the city's Magistrates Court.
This layout has now been approved by Bradford Council.
Work on the office building is due to begin this Spring.
The Council proposed the development as a way of attracting businesses to the city centre. Council bosses had argued that while Bradford had lots of office space in its ageing Victorian buildings, a lack of modern, Grade A office space had put off businesses looking to locate to the city.
