Two teenagers have been released on bail after a taxi was shot at from a passing van.
The driver, who works for Low Moor Taxis, was travelling along Huddersfield Road in Wyke when he saw a man in a white van level a weapon at his car and fire.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "At 11.10pm on Monday night a report was received that the occupants of a white van had fired an air weapon at a taxi driver on Huddersfield Road in the Wyke area.
"The driver, who was uninjured, was able to give officers a partial description of the suspect vehicle and a short time later, officers found a vehicle matching the description parked outside an address in the Wyke area.
"A paintball gun was seized from this vehicle and two local men were arrested.
"The taxi driver was left shaken but otherwise uninjured as a result of this incident. His taxi was not damaged."
Police are appealing for anyone who feels that they may have been the victim of a similar incident to contact Sgt Pam Smart at Bradford South Police via 0845 6060606.
