Bradford policeman Mark Carter has finished third at the International Mr Gay competition in Hollywood, only losing narrowly.
Mr Carter, above, a PC with West Yorkshire Police, was the first UK entrant in the 20-man contest and was a big hit with his impressive physique and charm during the four-day event.
Mr Carter, who finished second at Mr Gay Europe last year, said: "I'm very happy with the result. All 20 competitors were great ambassadors for their countries.
"I want to continue the work I started after winning Mr Gay UK in 2006 by changing the public's time-worn perception of the gay man."
