A WOMAN has appeared in court after stealing a rug from a Bradford city centre.
Mercedesz Petrovics Birone, 26, of Hillside Terrace, Bradford, stole a rug, worth £100, from Next at The Broadway, Bradford, on November 25, 2021.
She was given a community order for the theft from shop offence, which includes an unpaid work requirement to carry out 150 hours within the next 12 months.
Birone was also ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
She pleaded guilty to the charge when she appeared at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on December 10, 2021.
