After the success of its first event, the Sisterhood Open Mic is back this month with an evening of empowering poetry.
Sisterhood Open Mic which was set up by Sharena Lee Satti will be held at City Library, Bradford on January 28.
The female only event will provide women with the opportunity to perform poetry and make friends, with refreshments on offer.
Sharena said: “I’m a poet and I’ve wanted an event like this for some time.
“I want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy themselves. At the first event, we had so many people whose first time it was attending, and we hope we get more people this time around.”
The event will be hosted by Sharena Lee Satti and Sonia Kauser.
Sisterhood Open Mic is sponsored by Spoke Poetry Hub and supported by Bradford Libraries and Leap.
Tickets for the event can be booked via Eventbrite and guests are advised to arrive promptly at 7:30 pm.
